CAM4animals - Partners with AOI
For our animals, truly integrated veterinary care consists of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) and conventional veterinary treatments. CAM covers a wide range of well-respected treatments, or modalities, that are used in veterinary and human healthcare. Examples are: acupuncture, herbal medicine, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, homeopathy, osteopathy, chiropractic treatment and massage therapies or body work.
The CAM4animals’ website signposts animal owners and veterinary practitioners to information on all things CAM via our blogs written by qualified professionals or simple case studies written by owners. We help you find a vet or practitioner quickly and easily and advise on the process of referring through your conventional vet. If you are looking for a specific topic such as skin issues or lameness, you simply use the search function to find all our articles on these topics.
Articles written by veterinary professionals all carry links so that potential customers can find the author quickly and easily. We also share these articles across three social media platforms and our supporters routinely share these articles into their groups where people ask for help or advice.

PURCHASE "GIVING VOICE"
Giving Voice is a fantastic book of poetry celebrating the human-animal bond and the place holistic therapies have in the treatment of animals.
It was inspired, compiled and edited by vet Ilse Pedler of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons, BAHVS. Trained conventionally, these vets have gone on to gain further qualifications to add to the choice of treatments they can offer their animal patients.
All profits from this gorgeous book go to CAM4animals, whilst the BAHVS paid to compile and publish it.
That means that making one small purchase, helps to support this commendable organisation that is working so hard to maintain choice for our animals.
The poems reflect a deep love of animals and pay tribute to the significant role CAM therapies can play in their wellbeing. Contributions have come from vets, doctors, supporters of CAM4animals and other poets who feel strongly that they should have the right to choose such treatment options for their animals where appropriate. Some poems are from established poets, others from people moved to write for the very first time.
Every purchase helps to support the animals we love
There are poems about dogs, cats, horses, cows, a falcon and even a tortoise. Rescued animals feature alongside wonderful descriptions of CAM therapies. And most movingly of all, there are poems devoted to the grief felt when losing a beloved animal.
